World Champion Swimmer

Collin begs to take a bath almost every day. I beg he keeps more water in the tub than out. He loves his "swimming glasses" and he practices holding his breath.

Myself, I am not much of a swimmer. I don't prefer getting wet. I am more of a lay out and get a tan kind of girl. I like doing water sports like jet skis and boating things, but just swimming has never really appealed to me. That's the only thing keeping me back from doing a Tri like Anna-Marie and Brooke. Ha ha! LOL!

Anyway here are some pictures of my little fish. I don't care if he hates me for putting his little tush on the World Wide Web. I am a mom. It's my right to embarrass my children.

Sleeping angels

I always used to ask the question: Why do kids look so much bigger when they are asleep?

My mom had a great answer to that: It's the only time of day you can see all of them at once.

It's true, kids are always running around in a whirlwind of sticky food, toys, and dirt. I love watching my kids sleep. They look so angelic and peaceful.

Darrell and I used to watch Collin sleep every night right before we went to bed. We would check on him and just stay in there for like 20 minutes. It was fun. With Brody, he has been such a light sleeper until lately that we haven't been able to sneak in and take a peek. He would always sit right up when I would open his door. Now he is sleeping heavier so I get to look at him now. They are just so beautiful when they are asleep.

Squished!

Brody sleeps all over the place. Everytime I check on him he is in a different position. He gets it from Darrell. Last night this naughty little boy didn't go to bed until 10pm! I thought I was going to lose my mind.

He is sleeping on about 1/4 of his bed. I just couldn't resist taking these pictures.

I had to post all 3 pictures that I took just so you could get all the angles. I just can't understand how this could be comfortable at all. Kids are funny I guess.

Lucky for him he went to bed on time tonight!!

The Monster Green Bookcase

I really like free stuff, so when I was buying a dresser and the girl offered me a beat up bookcase for free I jumped on the chance! :)

I let Collin pick the color and help paint it. I was really trying to push him into a blue or red color, but he wasn't having it. So green it is.

Then we are putting stickers on the side. We don't have enough yet, but we have a good start. Collin loved it. It's his own book shelf and that makes it special.
