My Great Deals!

I went to get some of my coupon deals today and it turned out really awesome! I got everything pictured above for $7.31, which coincidentally was my lunch number in high school, but that is neither here nor there. We love Life cereal at our house. It's a family favorite so I got 6 boxes, but if I can find some more coupons I am going back for more. The picture is blurry, but those are bottles of Pace products such as salsas and queso. We LOVE mexican food at our house and we got those salsas for FREE!!! Yay coupons!

Lynne's Cabin

a.k.a. The mansion in the woods. My friend, Lynne, invited me (or I invited myself) up to her cabin just north of Rexsburg, Idaho. It was beautiful! The cabin is my dream home. It's huge! The kids had so much room to run wild and that was just in the house. :) A little too windy and cold to play outside although they tried for about 20 minutes. Brody cried after 2 minutes. Mostly we just sat around the house and watched tv. It was awesome though because the kids got along so great. Hardly any fights which is amazing considering we had 2 two year olds. Lynne and I were able to just chit chat and catch up. So fun to hang out as just the girls. Thanks Lynne for letting us bug you guys for a couple days! Can't wait to go again. I guess we can invite the husbands the next time.
Look how beautiful it is! I loved the rustic decor.

Space Needle

We went to the Space Needle this weekend. It was really cloudy so we weren't sure if we would be able to see much. At the top it was really windy and rainy so we didn't stay on the outside observation deck very long, but we were glad the clouds were above us so we could still see the view of the city even if it was from inside. Collin loved using the telescope to zoom in and see the city. Brody tried it too, but he didn't quite get it. I thought the elevator ride was the best part, because the walls were glass and you could see the whole city as you went up. Really fun!!

Visiting Grandmas

We were able to see Darrell's mom, Grandma Barbee, and his Grandma Collins. Just by chance his Aunt Karen was there at the same time too. It was really nice to visit. Darrell built Grandma Collins a ramp last week so she can get in and out of her house. She kept talking about how wonderful it was to be independent and go for walks. She had to show us how she goes up and down it with her "Cadillac" walker. She seems to be doing well. Collin just loves Grandma Barbee. She will play with him and tickle him. He had a great time. It was a really nice visit.

Coupon Deals!

I know I am obsessed! I admit it! Oh well. Here is my coupon deals for this week. I got all of this at Smith's for $19.88. What a coincidence 1988 is the year I was born. What?!?! I don't look like I am 21? Jerks! It's really awesome when my receipt says I saved $43.60!! Anyway I know that I am crazy, but when you can get all this for $20 it is a little exciting! (By the way that is 19 lbs of a variety of pastas.) Anyway I am off to Seattle in a couple hours! Should be fun! See ya!!!!

Taste Testing Party

As I mentioned before I am doing the coupon thing. Well the Activia and the DanActive yogurt drinks were super cheap so I thought I would try them. We are not huge yogurt people, but I thought we would try this new brand. We had a lot of fun taste testing the 3 new flavors of yogurt and the yogurt drinks. Brody had already had the drinks before and just loves them. Collin is so much more picky so I thought I would make it a party. Collin tried everything! I could not believe it. He actually liked the cherry and vanilla and ate more than one bite. He didn't even gag (which he usually does when he tries something new.) Yay!

As you can see Brody is claiming both drinks are his. He loves those things!

"Thumbs up!"

Breakfast With Friends

Brody has been really funny about his stuffed animals lately. He has always liked stuffed animals, but lately they are truly his best friends. He has a life sized Elmo (notice he is wearing pants) and then two huge bears from Grandma Collins. All three of them are nearly as big as Brody so naturally he thinks they are his friends. They are frequent dinner guests which is why we have our fold up chairs out. He takes very good care of them, Elmo in particular.

He wanted me to not forget to take a picture of this white bear. I think it's a toy he stole from my parents house. Not really sure where it came from.

Coupon Girl

So even thought it has been over a month of me doing the coupon thing I have not quite found my groove yet. Today though I feel like I scored! My brand diapers (yes I am a diaper snob) were on a deal at Albertsons where if you bought $20 of select items you got a $5 coupon for your next purchase. My diapers never go on sale and it is always $20 a box and at Walmart they are $19 per box. So this deal was a no brainer: Buy the diapers you are going to buy anyway and get $5 off. So my grand total was $31 for all these items. How I am looking at it is everything but the diapers was $6. Nice huh! Not a lot of stuff, but I feel like I finally am getting it. This week (or maybe next) I am going to get the Walgreens stuff figured out. It's really awesome that you can get stuff for free there! Here is a link to how it works.

A Great Blog if You Want To be Smarterer

Check out Warren's new blog!! It's really awesome and he is feeling a little discouraged that no one is reading it. Warren is so smart and I love to read his blog entries. Very inspiring. Thanks Warren for making my brain work rather than turn to sludge.
