Too Many Posts!!

Sorry I had to post one more today. Aren't my boys the cutest? (Say yes or die!) I just love when they get along.

Darrell's Birthday

We had a really fun day for Darrell's birthday!! We went bowling in the morning and then had a barbecue in the afternoon. Lots of fun! The kids were a blast bowling.
Collin doing a cartwheel after he bowled. Notice the ball hasn't yet reached the pins. :)

Wonder Woman reigns supreme!! (Both games!) I can contribute at least two of the spares to the bumpers and one to Brody "helping" me and the ball went so slow it accidentally knocked down the pins. :) Collin was Spiderman and Darrell was The Flash. We like superheroes around our house if you couldn't tell.
All three of my cute boys!!
Look at that form!!
Brody helping Darrell.
Collin was doing really well all on his own. I just hope he didn't dent the floor!!
Me and my two sweeties!!

Sweet Treats

As promised (a week ago) here is Corley's Ipod cake. Notice the headphones. Also Darrell's "campfire" cake. The pictures really don't do it any justice. It looked really good in person. Do you like the briquettes??

Team Pics

We will get the nice ones in a week or two, but here are the pics I took over the photographers shoulder. :)

High School Football

So we are now official fans of the Roy Royals!!! We have been to three games in a row and it has really been a blast. The kids love all the excitement. The game last week was especially exciting because the news helicopter came.
Go Corley!!
Brody watching the helicopter leave. What a sweet face.
I caught a little football for Collin.

I stay up way too late

Ever since Darrell has been traveling so much I have been staying up extra late at night. You know you are staying up too late when you see ads like this on TV:

It's for women who wear glasses, but the glasses get in the way while applying make up. Nice right. Click here to order. :)

My new sweet baby - E!

What do you think about my little new baby E?
MakeMeBabies.com - What will your baby look like?

Don't worry we are not pregnant!!! :) Just for fun!!

Corn on the Cob - Or is it?

I got this cute idea off of Family Fun's website. Cupcakes that look like corn on the cob. Who would have ever thought? My little sister came over to hang out and she put the cupcakes together. Turned out super cute if you ask me! I will hopefully have more pics tomorrow of the cake I am attempting to make. So far it's not going well though.

Royals Homecoming

Last Friday I went to my brother's Homecoming football game. I haven't been to a live football game in years. It was so much fun. The kids love all the cheering, the live band, the cheerleaders, and oh yeah, the football. The only thing that would have made it better is if Darrell let me get the cheesy nachos. He kept giving me a look every time I mentioned it though. I think he saved me from heartburn or worse though. :)
Unfortunately the Roy Royals lost their own Homecoming game. Oh well. They just didn't play very hard. Kind of blah. Corley plays linebacker and receiver. He did a pretty good job. One thing that I thought was funny that actually wasn't so funny was one of the first plays of the game. He's on defense and the opposing team is close to scoring. Cor covers his man who happened to get the ball thrown to him. Corley tips the ball away... (good,right?)...right into another guys hands for a touchdown. What a lucky play for them. Unreal! And the game didn't get any better from there on out. Oh well.
We had a great time cheering him on. Also Collin got the give the mascot, a lion, a hug. A big highlight for him. We survived with the kids until halfway through the 3rd quarter. It was about 9pm by then and the kids were just done. We really had an awesome time. I would love to go see another game this season, when Darrell is back in town to help with the kids. Love you Corley, you rock!

And here is a picture of Corley and his lovely date, Fern (I forget her real name, but that's what he calls her) for Homecoming:

I can't help myself

I just love the sleeping pics of my kids so here is yet another post of one of my beautiful sleeping angels.

Afro Hair

I really have no words for this. Just enjoy the pics.

Go Blue Fireballs!!

Yep, it's soccer season. I actually really enjoy watching soccer. My brother played all growing up and I just really get into it. Collin's team name is the Blue Fireballs. They had a very important team meeting where the boys had to decide this. It was between that and the Dragons. Collin voted Dragons so he's actually pretty bummed. I told him Dragons breathe fireballs so it was pretty close. He bought it.

Collin has always been pretty coordinated so it didn't surprise me that he was pretty good on the soccer field. At this age they play 4 vs 4 on a small field with no goalie. They have 20 minutes of practice and then a 25 minute game. Pretty much it's a herd of 8 kids running around chasing the ball. Collin's first game went really well and he scored 4 points. He is mad though because he would have scored 5 times if his own teammate didn't steal the ball from him right in front of the goal. His second game was his turn to sit out 2 quarters. There are 6 kids on the team so everyone has to take a turn to sit out twice in the game. He did score once though. He is the next David Beckham don't you think!?!

"Who'd you see?....."

My husband Darrell is a funny guy. Just ask him and he will tell you. He thinks he is funny all the time, but sometimes he is the only one laughing. BUT when he nails a joke, he totally nails it. Here is an example of one of the funniest things he has ever said. Enjoy.

Darrell was working as a construction superintendent in South Dakota building a school on the Indian Reservation. All the stereotypes about "Native Americans" are true. Per the contract Darrell had to employ a certain amount of local laborers. They were always giving Darrell excuses as to why they didn't show or why they were extremely late (like after lunch).

Darrell was sick of the excuses and nobody showing up to work on Mondays. One guy in particular said that he had all kinds of health problems including Agent Orange poisoning from Vietnam. He said that he was dying and that he had to quit because he only had like 2 months to live.

A couple months later Darrell sees this same man coming up to him. (Shouldn't he be dead by now?) The man says that he wants his job back and that he went to a doctor and was cured.

Darrell said, "Who'd you see? Jesus?"

Now I know it was a long set up for the whole punch line, but if you didn't laugh out loud you just don't have a sense of humor. It's like an inside joke at our house now. It's funny!

So exciting!

My Lynne is coming back to Idaho!! I am so excited. Lynne was my friend on Maui, but she is from the Idaho Falls area. We are girlfriend soulmates! We are so similar it's unbelievable. Both our cars in high school were named "Bertha" even. Our oldest kids were born at the same hospital about 10 days apart. We didn't meet until almost 4 years later though. I am really hoping that Collin marries her 2 year old, Riley. I am already planning the wedding.
Well she just texted me today so I don't know all the details, but it sounds like they will be back before Halloween. That would be awesome. Where we live in Northern Utah it would be about 2 1/2 - 3 hours away to see her. Lots closer than Maui. Can't wait!

The Fancy New Craft Table

So I decked out my new craft table! It's so darling now. It's the perfect craft center for Collin. Notice the little "Crayola" containers on top. They are actually insulated lunch mugs. Funny huh! I thought they were perfect to hold all the pencils and paint brushes. It's so cute. And I love the chip clip art display. It's like heaven for Collin.

My Roadside Treasure

I was looking around on ksl.com and craigslist today for a good deal (or free) computer desk with shelving. Collin is drawing pretty much nonstop. He loves making "crafts" like every day and it's hard to keep things organized. Nothing really was available up here in the Roy area. At least nothing like I was looking for. I even put an ad on ksl in the wanted section for a desk.

After Collin's soccer meeting I was driving over to my parents house. I saw a light from heaven shine straight down on this table. It is the perfect craft table for kids - and it was out on the road with a free sign on it!!!

I am so stoked about it! I know, I know, I am lame, but it really is so awesome for the kids. Collin is such an artist so that it is going to be perfect! I will show you more pics when I deck it out with all the pens and markers all cute and organized on it!

D'oh!

So today was Collin's first day of preschool. It was also my first day back to the gym in about 2 months. I was excited to get back to exercising and to stop feeling so blah. I knew that Brody wouldn't do very well in the childcare because Collin wasn't there.
I signed him in and left him quickly. I went right to the treadmill because I knew my time was limited. The room must be sound proof because I could hear him crying every time another mom would open the door. Then it would be quiet. Then crying. Then quiet again. It was funny.
After about 20 minutes I decided to let the torture cease. I go to get him and he is standing at the door with big crocodile tears. It was actually very cute. Poor baby though.
So then I can't find my keys...anywhere! I tear apart the diaper bag, which needs to be cleaned out desperately, and can't find them anywhere. I asked the childcare worker if she has seen any keys. She looks all over the desk, but not the extent of actually getting out of her chair. Um, yeah, I could have done that.
I go ask the front desk guy if anyone has turned any in. I am like 99% sure that I left them on the childcare sign in table. I definitely didn't have them with me when I was running. I searched through all the toys and playhouses. This play area for the kids is the biggest at any gym that I have ever been to. There are like 20+ kids in there! I couldn't find them anywhere.
My theory was that another mom accidentally picked them up. So hopefully they would turn up. In the mean time I needed a ride to pick up Collin from preschool in like an hour. I had to use the gym phone to call my dad to come pick me up. I just got his voicemail. I knew he was going to be around today so I left a message just hoping he was screening calls and would hear my message.
I went outside with Brody to just sit on my trucks tail gate to wait...and wait...and wait. After about 10 minutes I decided that he wasn't coming. I started walking. I kept hoping all the way there that he was going to come pick me up. Never happened. It was about a 2 mile walk with a 21 month old boy. I carried him almost the whole way. I guess I got my workout today after all.
I get to my parents house and my dad was there. He said his phone didn't ring and he had it with him the whole time. Jerk! The message was on his phone, but I guess it didn't ring. Oh well. What a long morning.
Good news is that the gym called me about an hour later saying they found my keys!! Just like I thought, another mom accidentally got them in her diaper back. Hooray! All is well.
Oh and Collin had a great first day at preschool. I will get some pics on here later.

The Great Outdoors

Now this might come as a shock to my beloved readers, but I AM NOT A CAMPER. Darrell loves the outdoors and so do our boys. I tolerate it because we have a trailer with running water, a bed, and a/c! :) It's barely camping, I know. Don't judge me.
We had a fun weekend with the boys. It is Brody's first time "driving" a four wheeler. He kept his thumb on the gas and I would steer. He didn't want to get off of the four wheeler. He just loved it. We were out two nights and that was plenty long for a sissy like me.
We only got out the kids four wheeler. Our other one we didn't want to hassle with. Too much work!! We ate hamburgers, played Bocce ball, and rode the four wheeler around and around and around! The kids had a great time. Collin loved collecting the firewood. He is such a busy kid all the time. Here are a few pictures from our fun weekend.

Colling cheating at Bocce ball.

The men getting the fire ready.

Brody trying to start the four wheeler. Nice try buddy.

The cutest little Grannis brothers.

All three of them riding a 50cc kids four wheeler. LOL!

Brody just wouldn't get off this thing! He had a blast!
